Partners of NOVALOG

France Telecom

France Telecom, world-wide telecommunications operator offers its customers (individuals or companies) its fixed and mobile telephone services, Internet Network access and data services.

The France Telecom Group has 240.000 employees and 112 million customers in the world; in 2002 its turnover was 46,6 billion EUROS.

France Telecom is currently reorganising its logistical operations upon the basis of a concept of Supply Chain.

The result, for the Networks Logistical Management (DLR), is a convergence of the inbound, production, maintenance and reverse logistics. Within the France Telecom Group, the DLR is a logistics services provider, finding synergies of activities and optimizing the relevant resources.

This change is complemented by alteration links up with a review of logistics processes and with a professionalisation of the logistics professions.

Within the context of France Telecom's partnership in the Novalog project, Richard Cepi, in charge of Corporate Logistical Supply Chain Assistance, is greatly interested in the research and in the project's conclusions, particularly as a means to endorse the operational suitability of his department's work.
